Inspired by the timeless story of The Jungle Book, this illustration features the character of Shere Khan. Shere Khan is a fictional Bengal tiger and the main antagonist of Rudyard Kipling's “Jungle Book” and its adaptations. Shere Khan's failed attempt to hunt humans causes a human "cub" to stray from its parents. When Shere Khan discovers the infant, it has been adopted by wolves, Raksha being his adopted wolf mother. Mowgli is accepted into Akela's wolf pack and is protected by Bagheera and Baloo. Furious at losing his kill, the tiger swears that the boy will be his some day.

This piece was illustrated on top of up-cycled book pages from the actual book, The Jungle Book. While the original piece is 2'x 4’, these prints have been resized to 11" x 17" and are handmade-to-order. Please allow 6-8 business days for your order to ship. If you're holding one of these items in your hand, I've held it in mine. Prints are neatly packaged in a cello sleeve and shipped in a stay flat mailer.
