Raksha (11 x 17 Print)
"Raksha"
Print size: 11"x17"
Signed
Inspired by the timeless story of The Jungle Book, this illustration features the character of Raksha. Raksha is a female wolf, a member of the Seeonee pack who, while caring for her own cubs, chose to adopt a human man cub named Mowgli. While Mowgli was under her care, Raksha defies the tiger Shere Khan, who is determined to kill the man-cub. Raksha means “protection and nurture” and she will fight to the death for any of her cubs, natural or adopted.
This piece was illustrated on top of up-cycled book pages from the actual book, The Jungle Book. While the original piece is 2'x 4’, these prints have been resized to 11" x 17" and are handmade-to-order. Please allow 6-8 business days for your order to ship. If you're holding one of these items in your hand, I've held it in mine. Prints are neatly packaged in a cello sleeve and shipped in a stay flat mailer. Print colors may vary slightly from what is shown due to monitor calibration and other pernicious technological fluctuations. This listing is only a print of the original artwork, no matting or frame is included. Watermarks displayed in the item listing will not be on the print you receive.
