This illustration is my interpretation of a realistic version of the Pokémon species Cubone, #104.
The Paper: The type-written paper that is antique in color, is the base of the original piece of artwork. I up-cycle old books and discarded paper. The specific type writer pages are old paper work I found in my mother’s attic. I came to find out that they were left behind from a priest that lived there in the 50’s & 60’s and most pages were about theological essays, how to visit patients in a mental institution, church related events, and even plain old dinner menus. The pages were scattered all over the attic floor and she was going to throw them away, instead I brought new life into them. Most of the subjects of the illustrations have nothing to do with what words are on the pages, I just loved the aesthetic.
